Grading Policy

Timeline of when student receive grades:

Report cards and IEP progress reports are issued three times per year, at the end of each marking period (November, March and June).

Courses are graded based on the following performance targets

Level	Porcentage
Level of Engagement/Participation: Student will participate by engaging and attending to activities, which may include checking their schedule, working in 1:1, small group, following directions, requesting, and answering questions.	30%
Assessment/Accuracy: Did student complete the learning task or activity correctly	30%
Independence Did the student work to the best of their ability?	10 %
Behavior: Student will demonstrate learner readiness. If student has problem behavior, they will self-regulate	30%

80%-100%	Score 3: Goal met
60%- 79%	Score 2 Progress made, goal not met
59% or below	Score 1: Little Progress made and goal not met

Standardized Assessment Grading Policy
Courses are gradeed based on the following performance targets

Level of Engagement/Participation: Was the student engaged in the task? Was the student able to answer questions? Did the student participate in peer to peer discussion?	30%
Assessment/Accuracy: Was the student able to state the aim? Unit Tests Student Work Samples	30%
Independency Did the student work to the best of their ability?	30%
Behavior: Student will demonstrate learner readiness. Student self-assessment of behavior. If student has problem behavior, they will self-regulate or use coping strategies with supports.	10%
